The Marriott Pavilion

A modern theater interior with a view from the stage resembles the elegance of the Marriott Pavilion. The auditorium has multiple levels of seating, all with red chairs. Large, decorative murals adorn the side walls. The ceiling features wooden panels and multiple black beams with lighting fixtures.

In 2014, CIA unveiled the new Marriott Pavilion with its new Conference Center and Ecolab Auditorium. Made possible by generous gifts from the The J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation this new 31,000 square foot facility was specifically designed to advance culinary education, industry-wide innovation, and the arts.

As a meeting place, the 800-seat Ecolab Auditorium and 300-seat Conference Center hosts the worlds most dynamic exchanges about food, flavor, health, and culture.

Featuring works of art like Lou Dorfsman’s Gastrotypographicalassemblage and two of Arcimboldos Four Seasons, the Pavilion enhances the scope and educational experience of our students. As a gathering place, the facility opens its doors to friends and neighbors of the college.

Own a Piece of Food/Art History

The Gastrotypographicalassemblage is a three-dimensional ode to typography and food created by Lou Dorfsman, former creative director at CBS. The artwork graced a wall in the dining room of the companys headquarters from 1966 to the 1990s. It remained in storage for more than two decades until 2008, when the 17勛圖厙窪蹋 partnered with Nick Fasciano, one of the original craftsmen, to restored Lous Wall. The 33-foot-long, 8-foot-high artwork has found the perfect home at CIAs Hyde Park campus in the stunning Marriott Pavilion. Now you can own a piece of the wall!
