Attracting a unique blend of future chefs, food lovers, and established culinary leaders, our CIA Texas campus is packed with food-focused activities and events that ignite your knowledge of Latin American cuisines and food traditions. Connect with friends through activities like barbecue and garden clubs, Sugar Rush, Habla Fresca Lecture Series, or take part in the city’s Paella Challenge. At CIA Texas in San Antonio, you’re sure to find a small and inclusive community where you’ll really get to know your instructors and make lifelong friends.

Campus Highlights

Located on the and set among the restored 19th-century buildings of the former , the features:

State-of-the-Art Teaching Kitchens and a Professional Bakeshop

Provides modules and stations where students can perform lab exercises and be observed and coached on an individual basis.

Latin Cuisines Kitchen

Unlike any other in the world, and features both indoor and outdoor cooking stations. The kitchen captures the heritage of Latin America, with Talavera tile walls, a wood-fired oven, a Latin Foods demonstration theater, and six cooking suites.

CIA Texas Library

A 2,300-square-foot space that includes a collection of more than 4,500 cataloged books. Students can also gain remote access to the college’s leading culinary library at our main New York campus.

Library Learning Commons

Provides students with opportunities to enhance their skills and develop study strategies for success. It offers a wide array of services, including tutoring, disability services, testing accommodations, and mentoring programs.

Our associate degree programs at our Texas campus follow the same in-depth curriculum as our main CIA campus in Hyde Park, NY.
